Endless Sleep

Mind's a blank
A shattered wreck
Crushed in time
Abandoned in slumber

Everything taken
Lost in myself
Brain's divided
Thoughts gone

Life is stolen
I'm locked within
Sound drowned out
Lost to the darkness

Eyes not moving
Lids ever sealed
Endless sleep
Constant nightmares

Body's numb
Fingers stiff
Feet like a rock
Soul burns, body's cold

Trapped inside
Can't get out
Dead to the world
Alive, yet dead

About to give in
Lost inside
Machine for a heart
Keeps me going

They said a veg am I
Gone beyond time
Endless sleep
Brought by accident

Am I never to wake?
See your face?
Hear your voice?
I'm lost in endless nightmare

I hear you crying at my side
Feel your tears
Sense your sorrow
I want to reach up and console

I hear your grim choice
I cry out from inside
Sorrow wells
As they pull my plug

Nightmare ends
Feeling leaves
Heart stops
As I die, never saying
